Addie Lorraine (Ramsey) Howard, 66

| June 5, 2016 6:00 AM

Island girl, mountain woman, hippie lady, Addie Lorraine (Ramsey) Howard, 66, passed away peacefully on Pi day, March 14, 2016, in Spokane.

She was born Feb. 7, 1950, in Kalispell to William “Bill” Ramsey and Joyce (Howard) Ramsey. She attended Flathead High School and, after living in both Hawaii and California, Addie came back to the mountains of Montana to raise her daughters on the old Halverson farm in Bigfork.

She became a stay-at-home mom/entrepreneur, and an avid collector/seller of antiques. She truly loved life to the fullest — relaxing days at the river or lake, huckleberry picking, preserving her garden’s harvest, tending to her flowers and animals, white cake with white frosting, a good ice cream, orange pop, sweet tea and, above all, time with her family and friends. Addie had an innate ability to love all who came into her life.

She is survived by her two daughters, Michelle (Cameron-Cline) Black, and Kristina “Tina” Bouquet; three grandchildren, Logan Black, Aaron Black and Ava Bouquet; three brothers, Vaughn, Val and Chris Ramsey; as well as many nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly.

She was preceded in death by her father, William “Bill” Ramsey; her mother, Joyce (Howard) Ramsey Viloria; and her sister, Marie (Ramsey) Schutt.

A short graveside service at C.E. Conrad Memorial Cemetery (section “i”) will be held at 3 p.m. Friday, Aug. 5. Immediately following, at approximately 3:30 p.m., a memorial potluck will commence at Woodland Park.

Please bring a dish to share, and we will remember Addie and celebrate her amazing life!
