FOOTBALL: South wins Class B all-star game
BILLINGS — The South squad won a slugfest in the Class B Big Sky All-Star Football game on Friday night at Daylis Stadium, holding the North to very little offense in a 14-3 victory.
Twin Bridges running back Nick Winfield scored both touchdowns for the South. The Montana Tech signee scored the first on a one-yard run at the goal line and the second out of the Wildcat, bouncing off a pack of defenders and sprinting free for a 53 yard touchdown. The South opened the scoring in the first quarter with a safety, tackling Thompson Falls’ Corey Tessier in the end zone.
Fairfield’s Tarren Lee made a 32-yard field goal for the North’s only points.
The South now leads the all-time series 15-13.
