LAW ROUNDUP: Driver snubbed in shrub complaint
A driver on Second Avenue West in Columbia Falls was not pleased by landscaping that blocked the view and claimed he or she was almost hit twice trying to pull into the intersection at Ninth Street. Columbia Falls Police Department didn’t agree and deemed there was a “clear line of sight prior to and after the shrubs, which allows for adequate vision when entering onto Ninth Street.”
Extra patrol was requested on Eighth Street West after a resident called regarding a house and vehicle being egged. Later on, police received a report from Sixth Avenue West of another house being egged.
A representative of the Child Abuse Hotline told police about a report of alleged methamphetamine distribution out of a local residence.
Someone called Whitefish Police Department to report that a neighbor was allegedly throwing feces and taking unauthorized pictures. A man in the background could be heard stating “this is an assault with bodily fluid.”
A bag of needles was found by a woman on U.S. 93 South.
Someone on U.S. 93 South wanted police to do a walk-through of a business because of two “sketchy” bald men with tattoos. The men left upon the officers’ arrival. No crime was reported.
Someone called police after an unruly patient left in a wheelchair on Hospital Way. The man had allegedly refused to be seen and “was starting to be violent.” The caller told officers he or she “mainly just wanted the wheelchair back.” The wheelchair was returned, and the man requested to be dropped off at a location to be picked up by friends.
Someone on Waverly Place repeatedly called 911, but told dispatchers there was no emergency, just failure to dial 411 correctly. While everything sounded OK, officers headed over to the location to check it out.
A woman told Flathead County Sheriff’s Office a horse showed up at her residence on O’Neil Creek Road and she wasn’t sure who it belonged to.
Items valued at $2,400 were reported stolen off a trailer on Spring Creek Drive in Kalispell.
A swing set, hoses, wheelbarrow and decorative rocks were reportedly stolen on Willow Drive in Kalispell.
A truck was spotted losing its load on U.S. 2 East in Kalispell.
Someone on U.S. 2 East in Coram was concerned about the welfare of animals in a pen. Officers checked on a sheep and goat, and while they had water and food, there were concerns that the sheep was in need of shearing.
A very angry property owner on Patrick Creek Road in Kalispell told deputies that a man who rented a mobile home on the property made alleged threats to “burn a neighbor’s house down,” and “shoot her and a neighbor.”
A woman on Angel Point Road in Lakeside said her house was “ransacked” while she was gone.
A man visiting his girlfriend on Caroline Road in Kalispell got an unexpected surprise when a man showed up and accused him of breaking into the house, punched him in the face and left. The man told dispatchers that law enforcement “better hurry before he goes and takes care of the situation himself.”
A woman on Rocky Meadows Loop said her girlfriend slapped and choked her.
A man was not pleased to find the door of his Blaine Mountain Road residence open and his mother reportedly going through his things.
