Firecracker fans halted by police
Whitefish Police searched two suspects allegedly throwing firecrackers at pedestrians along Spokane Avenue.
A woman arrived at the police department hoping to thank officers for “keeping the riff raft away” from her home.
Police were called by a woman after her downstairs neighbor allegedly threatened herself, her son and their dog.

A man said his car was stopped by a man on foot holding garbage can lids in both hands as he yelled about the speed limit. The driver said he had not been speeding and noted that the person who stopped him had a gun holstered on his hip.
A Kalispell woman reported her neighbor was yelling at her and made a “gesture across his throat” while looking at her. She said the man accused her of a conversation with the neighbor’s wife. When she asked for clarification, the man started yelling.
A Kalispell woman complained that people were “lurking around” in a car near the shop she worked in. Deputies didn’t find the suspicious crew.
