LETTER: Sen. Daines, please stop me before I donate to the Dems again!

Sen. Daines, please quit making me give money to the Democrats! I really don’t like the Democratic Party but I promised to donate $9 to three different Democratic Party PACS every week until you give President Obama’s Supreme Court nominee a hearing and a vote AS REQUIRED BY THE CONSTITUTION.

I’ve been unhappy with the GOP for a long time as well but never was motivated to give my money to either party. It has become obvious that the GOP’s intent is to prove government doesn’t work, even if it damages our democracy and stifles the economic well-being of working-class Americans.

You talk about lack of growth in workers wages but not only refuse to raise the minimum wage, you try to eliminate it altogether.

I’m not a millionaire and doubt myself or my grandchildren will ever be either, so why should I support a party that only serves the wishes of the billionaires and corporations who give you massive “donations”? We used to call those bribes.

Oh, I hear it now, “Democrats do it too,” but Democrats aren’t the ones who stop any attempt at fixing our broken campaign system. You should all wear sashes like Boy Scouts use to display merit badges, festooned with badges for your various bribe-payers, size-appropriate for the amount of cash they have given you. It looks like the NRA badges alone would give most of you a backache, let alone the carbon industry.

Do your duty: Fill the vacancy in SCOTUS now! Stop me before I donate AGAIN and it becomes a habit I can’t quit.
