A so-called ex-convict out of Texas on Montana 40 in Columbia Falls threatened Flathead County Sheriff’s Office deputies to take care of an incident involving windows smashed on his vehicle. The man said he knew who did it and that if deputies wouldn’t take care of this “he will take care of her.” The man made multiple threats, such as “he will beat her a** and take care of the suspect,” whom he called a “meth head” despite dispatchers advising him it was a recorded line. The man also said he “smacked her and threw her out yesterday.”

A driver who said he or she picked up a bearded hitchhiker in his mid-30s outside of Whitefish and dropped him off in Olney was disconcerted when the man, who said he was from Kentucky, started talking about allegedly witnessing a murder at a home department store and being detained and interrogated all night by law enforcement in Kalispell. The hitchhiker also referenced media coverage of an alleged Echo Lake homicide and said “it appears to be really bad around here.” Deputies attempted to locate the man, who has been suspected to have left the area in a motor home.

Although a property manager on Beta Road in Hungry Horse was advised he or she would be responsible for arranging a vehicle tow because it was on personal property, the sleuthing property owner had additional questions about people who claimed they were the vehicle owners and was certain it wasn’t and advised deputies the people were messing with it. It was discerned the vehicle was indeed stolen.

A possible escape from a kidnapping was reported on East Idaho Street in Kalispell when an employee said a woman ran into the store and went into the restroom to hide from a man who came into the store and banged on the bathroom window. Before the woman left the store she told employees she would be in “big trouble” if the man found her. The man left the scene angry, speeding off in a truck. The suspect was allegedly armed. The kidnapping was said to have started at Lost Creek Drive in Kalispell and allegedly suspects had the woman’s vehicle and dog.

A perturbed resident on Gunsite Loop in Kalispell was tired of hearing a man yelling at his family outside and other incidents where other members of this family acted inappropriately in his estimation. While the resident didn’t know the man’s address, he said “all the deputies know where they lived.” The perturbed resident said he was watching the man on his security camera and had purchased a firearm due to them living next to him because they were bullies. Deputies offered to provide extra patrol.

A woman’s neighbors on Mountain Drive in Hungry Horse were also apparently causing headaches when she said they “were raising hell” and were outside allegedly doing drugs and drinking alcohol. The woman screamed at dispatchers, upset that “no one has done anything to control her drug-addict neighbors.” When asked what she wanted deputies to do to help her the woman hung up.
