LETTER: In reply - Here's what Jesus might say

| March 31, 2016 10:15 AM

Let’s educate Ms. Carol Santa, author of the March 20 letter, “What would Jesus say?”

Jesus declared Himself to be “I AM” (John 8:57) with the same name He used at the burning bush with Moses (Exodus 3:13). And the Bible clearly says He is the creator of heaven and earth in Colossians 1:16 and John 1:3.

So we’re not dealing with the little baby Jesus in the manger. We are dealing with God. Not a greater God or a lesser God or an equal God or a new God. But THE LORD GOD ALMIGHTY.

Now let’s answer that question “What Would Jesus Say?” in His voice.

“Your fathers were my friends and I gave to them a land overflowing with treasure and more freedom than any people have every enjoyed. And they lived and died honorably and went to their reward. But the children took my gift and turned it into a strange God and perverted it into an excuse to satisfy their lust of the flesh even more so than the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah. They worship the god Freedom day and night by breaking their marriage vows, mocking my Father, with offerings of pornography, pursuing covetousness and sorcery, men lusting after strange flesh and worst of all creating rivers of blood with the death of the innocent and holding the purpose of my death and resurrection in contempt.

“When my pleading with the children of Abraham came to an end I gathered their enemies under the Roman eagle and afflicted them with the sword, disease and famine and sent them into slavery and exile for 2,000 years. If I did not spare the children of Abraham, why would I spare you? So now I am sending you the children of the destroyers I sent against Jerusalem. But not for your blessing as one who comforts the stranger and the poor. They will multiply and grow strong on your wealth and turn on you in their increase and in obedience to Allah afflict you with fear and death and despair. And Freedom will flee from you and leave you helpless. Return to me; I AM your only hope of escape.”

WWJS, Ms. Santa? Now you know. In the year 70 A.D., Rome attacked Jerusalem with a mercenary army made up of men largely of Middle Eastern nations, i.e., Syria, Assyria, Midianites and Philistines, who are the ancestors of the Palestinians. Titus was the general and ordered that the Temple not be touched, but these mercenaries were the ancient enemies of Israel. In their rage they used hammers, saws and torches on the Temple and left not one stone upon another when they were done; which Christ prophesied would be done.

These are the same people attacking Israel with rockets and the world with bombs and bullets today, and we are importing them under God’s direction to deal with the god we call Freedom. But there is hope: 2 Chronicles 7:14 says “if My people, who are called by My name, will humble themselves and pray and seek My face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.”
