Spring weather spurs suspicions
A man allegedly enjoyed Sunday’s spring weather enough to remain seated on his bicycle next to an Evergreen bar for two hours. The Kalispell Police Department received a call from someone who reported seeing the man earlier and noted the stalled cyclist was “in the exact same position that he is in now.”
A man denied stealing super glue from a business on Third Avenue East.
A pair of men were seen wandering around Fourth Avenue on Sunday afternoon, allegedly hanging out in front lawns and peering into garages.
Youths were reported for firing a pellet gun from vehicle Sunday evening on Seventh Street West. No damage was reported.
Someone threatened to decapitate a dog on Hawthorn Avenue after the dog attacked another dog.
A caller suspected three women in the hotel room across from her had transformed the room into a den of vice. She told dispatch they appeared to be dealing drugs and engaging in prostitution.
Dispatch received a call Monday morning from a Kalispell man who was “having problems with [his] new wife.”
A woman requested information on using pepper spray in self defense, claiming that her neighbors were on meth and one of them was knocking on her windows and talking to her through an open window in the middle of the night.
An employee of a U.S. 2 West business called the Flathead County Sheriff’s Office to report that several locks on a truck had been cut overnight and items were missing.
A woman on Park Drive called when her ex-husband allegedly kicked her door down and begin taking items from her home.
A caller on Mountain View Drive in Kalispell told deputies there was a strange truck that had been parked on the street for four days, and no one in the neighborhood knew who it belonged to. Deputies contacted the vehicle’s owner, who was traveling by train. The owner agreed to move the vehicle as soon as he returned.
A fight was reported on West Reserve Drive in Kalispell, allegedly involving two males and a female. Deputies separated and counseled all parties involved.
A caller on Parliament Drive called about a loud verbal fight in the neighborhood. Deputies found two men arguing about where to put gravel.
Deputies helped round up a dog on the run near Three Mile Drive and Garland Street. The dog was returned home safely.
A caller on Lone Pine Road claimed that a group of kids had started a fire near the visitor center in Lone Pine State Park. Deputies were unable to locate any groups and did not find any evidence of a fire.
A group of people “on patrol” on Coyote Meadow Trail were counseled by deputies after allegedly making threats to another man.
A concerned caller reported seeing a suspicious group of men bury something near a pond in Kalispell, where the caller had been fishing. Deputies uncovered a dead dog from the area, and discovered the property owners were the ones who had owned and buried the animal. The dog was reburied.
A caller told the Whitefish Police Department there was a man downtown who was jaywalking and dancing in the street.
A woman called the Columbia Falls Police Department to report a man passed out in a car behind a Nucleus Avenue business in Columbia Falls. She said she recognized the man, adding that he is usually intoxicated. He was driven home.
