Whitefish whips Browning in softball

WHITEFISH — Whitefish scored a run in every inning but the fourth to blast Browning 12-2 in Class A softball play Monday afternoon.

Whitefish scored twice in the bottom of the sixth to have the contest end on the 10-run rule.

Jordan Sletten picked up the win in the circle and led the offensive attack by going 3 for 4 in the leadoff position.

McKenzie Carl and Abby Reese also went 3 for 4.

Abby Carson, 2 for 3, drove in three runs.

Whitefish outhit Browning 16-4.

“They have been swinging it well the last couple of weeks,” Whitefish coach Travis Krause said of the offense.

Another highpoint was no errors.

The win was the second of the season for the Bulldogs.

Whitefish plays Shelby and Cut Bank today, in Cut Bank at 3/4:30 p.m.
