Clay Marvin, 59
After a quick and fierce battle with cancer, Clay Marvin died on May 11, 2016, in Acampo, California, at the age of 59.
He leaves behind his wife Lori; daughter Staci; and two sons Justin and Kord; his grandson Hayden; his mother Shirley; and his eight brothers, Ron, Shawn, Ken, Loren, Zeno, Matthew, Chuck and Michael. He also leaves behind his beloved dog Bentley.
Clay was born on Dec. 31, 1956, in Kalispell, to father Charles Marvin, who predeceased him, and mother Shirley Marvin of Kalispell. He grew up as the second oldest in a family with eight brothers. Clay graduated from Flathead High School in Kalispell where he enjoyed playing basketball and excelled in metal shop.
Clay had a joyful smile, the gift to talk to anyone, and was one of the hardest workers and best mechanics around. He had a knack for working on all types of vehicles and was a regular handyman who would always lend a hand to those who needed something fixed.
Clay married his wife Lori on Feb. 14, 2016, as a final symbol of affection for the “love of his life” before his passing.
He wished to be cremated and his ashes will be spread in the wilderness of Montana.
A celebration of life will be held this summer in Kalispell.
