LETTER: Are we ready for clean politics?

Some may find it interesting that the right wing Republicans in our valley seem miffed that the other side is excoriating them in advertisements. Scandalous! Not fair! “Bullying.”
Would that not be an attempt on part of pot to call kettle black? Indeed so.
But at least as far as I can tell there’s been substantial improvement in campaign rhetoric here so far. This is a good thing. Civil discourse. State position clearly. Provide real facts and argument to back it up. Respect opposing candidate. He or she is most likely a good person too, especially locally.
Among other things, set example for next generation. Us voters will decide. It’s the way our system is supposed to work at best...
