LETTER: Barragan is the wise choice

I have had the pleasure of knowing Jean Barragan for 15 years. She struck me immediately as a person of great integrity and high moral standards and I have never had occasion to change that opinion.

Intelligence and compassion are two traits she exemplifies, and it is with these parts of her character in mind, that I am moved to write this letter in regards to her campaign.

Jean Barragan is a vocal advocate for the concerns and needs of the citizens in House District 11. She believes that effective, responsible and responsive government is one which is closest to the people. It is my belief that the state of Montana needs grassroots individuals who are a cross section of citizen legislators.

Jean’s expertise is education, her strength is consensus building, her passion is history and political science, and her work ethic is exemplary.

The Lakeside/Somers communities can easily identify Jean Barragan as a sophisticated vocal advocate who lends her ear to healthy debate, thoughtful choices, tough discussions. and conservative fiscal planning.
