Caller reports drugs and threats

The Kalispell Police Department received a report from Fifth Avenue West about a home invasion allegedly involving two men, drugs and threats to kidnap someone’s child.

Two men were reportedly drinking, smoking and leaving trash around while sitting in front of a business on Third Avenue East North.

An airport firefighter reported an incoming airplane was hit with a green laser light.

A man was seen allegedly lying in the street waving his arms and legs in the air and moaning on Fourth Avenue East North.

A man described as “tweaking,” was allegedly checking door handles on Third Avenue East North.

Someone called 911 on North Main Street to report a child’s bloody nose that wouldn’t stop.


Someone on Blanchard Lake Drive in Whitefish was suspicious of a vehicle that allegedly pulled up to mailboxes with no lights on then sat there for awhile when a large man got out, got back into the vehicle and pulled into a driveway. The person reporting the incident to Flathead County Sheriff’s Office said he or she found a crumpled pay stub on the ground.

Mailboxes were seen open and mail scattered around on Spencer Trail in Whitefish. The person calling in the report said he or she seemed to be missing two days worth of mail.

More mail mayhem was reported on Braig Lane in Columbia Falls when mailboxes were allegedly found open and mail scattered around.

A woman walking her dog on FFA Drive in Kalispell reported a man reportedly wandering around the school and was concerned he may be watching or following her.

Four alpacas were reportedly killed — possibly by a mountain lion — on Swan Hill Drive in Kalispell.

Someone on Lake of the Woods in Bigfork allegedly had a dead deer that was “foaming at the mouth,” in the yard.

A woman on U.S. 2 East reported to officers that her vehicle was stolen the previous night. The vehicle may not only have been stolen, but possibly was involved in a crash.

A Lake Blaine Road resident reported trespassers had allegedly cut the lock off a gate and gotten into containers on the property.

An intoxicated woman was not being a very good friend when she allegedly was being combative and throwing objects at the friend’s son.


An employee’s suspicions were raised on Ninth Street West when a man was spotted in the parking lot allegedly roaming around, grabbing inside his pockets and then making a gesture like a gun pretending to shoot a glass case. The employee told Columbia Falls Police Department that the man appeared paranoid.

A black bear cub was spotted running across the street downtown near Third and Seventh.

A case of road rage was reported on Sixth Street West when a caller was reportedly being followed by a pickup with a woman driver yelling.


Whitefish Police Department received a report of a scam from a woman on Barkley Lane, who said she received a call from a man alleging he was with the county attorney’s office and that she had won $5 million and was given a phone number to call in a confirmation number.

A house on Aspen Grove Street was reportedly burglarized when the residents found the garage door open and a bike missing.


Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office received a report from someone on Quartz Road who said a vehicle was broken into and a gun stolen.

A caller on U.S. 2 told officers he or she witnessed what looked like a flare go up in the sky.

Officers warned some people about dumpster diving on private property without permission.

A woman on Pinewood Lane told officers that “someone slashed her tires again.”

Fish and Game responded to a report of a deer with its backstrap missing allegedly dumped on Granite Creek Road.

Fish and Game also received a tip that three deer were allegedly shot with “very little” meat harvested near Swede Mountain Road.


Kalispell Fire Department responded to reports of a fuel spill on Fourth Avenue East North in Kalispell.
