Alice Virginia Olson, 92

Alice Virginia Olson died Oct. 30, 2016, at the Immanuel Lutheran Home.

She was born Oct. 10, 1924, in Graceville, Minnesota, to Paul N. Krieg and his wife Bertha (Brust) Krieg. She grew up on the family farm and attended school in Graceville. Later she attended the West Central School of Agriculture (W.C.S.A.) in Morris, Minnesota.

She moved to Kalispell in November of 1943. She was employed at the Glacier Dairy and at Equity Supply in Kalispell.

She married Ole P. Olson on April 6, 1952, at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Kalispell.

She and Ole owned and operated Olson’s Jewelry Store in Evergreen until 1964, when they moved to south Kalispell. Alice enjoyed gardening, traveling on the mystery tour bus with her friends, spending time with her cat Reka, keeping her home tidy and spotless, and writing letters to her many friends and relatives. She loved to laugh and had a great sense of humor. Her kind and gentle nature will be missed by all who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her husband Ole, her brother Richard Krieg, and sister-in-law Georgia Krieg.

Alice is survived locally by her brother-in-law Art Olson of Evergreen, and her cousin Laverne Fredenberg of Kalispell.

She was interred at C.E. Conrad Memorial Cemetery in Kalispell.
