Nancy Wallace Ashton, 85

Nancy Wallace Ashton, 85, passed peacefully at home on Sunday, Oct. 16, 2016.

Nancy was born in Boston in 1931.

Nancy had many interests in her life, including a love of nature, loving many Labrador retrievers, antiques, books, skiing, the opera and gardening. Nancy was a librarian and a lifelong artist. Her keenest interest in life was her family, especially raising her children. A quiet, but strong soul, Nancy gave love and joy to all who knew her.

Nancy was predeceased by her husband William John Ashton, and her sister Mary Wallace.

She is survived by her daughter Lisa Ashton Lindsay, son-in-law Stuart Lindsay, and granddaughter, Cameron Lindsay, of Wisconsin; her son, Mark Ashton and grandsons, Connor Ashton and Bryce Ashton, of Virginia; her daughter Cary Saunders and son-in-law Peter Saunders, of Kalispell; her sister, Elizabeth Wallace Esser; her sister-in-law, Janet Ashton Arrington; and many nieces and nephews.

Nancy’s memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. on Jan. 7 at Christ Church Episcopal, Kalispell.

Buffalo Funeral Home is assisting the family.

Nancy will truly be missed.
