Joan C. Warren, 95

Joan C. Warren passed away at home in Lakeside on Monday, Nov. 14, 2016.

Joan was born the day after Christmas 1920 in Williston, North Dakota, to John and Pauline Husebye. 

She married Charles M. Bissonnette in 1941 and together they raised five children and managed a successful farming and cattle business near Crosby, North Dakota.

After the death of her loved husband of 25 years, she moved to Lakeside in 1968 and purchased her dream home on the shores of Flathead Lake. In 1973, she married Royer G Warren, a retired Marine major/and participated in his tree farming and home building ventures. She spent some 28 very happy years with Royer until his death in 2001.

She cherished her home, family and many friends and loved swimming, boating and caring for her yard and garden.

Joan is survived by her five children, Kathleen Bissonnette of Portland, Diana J. Pejuan of Bigfork, Charles Bissonnette of Lakeside, Pamela Bissonnette and her husband Tom Dean of Plains, and Jackie Bissonnette of Kalispell; her brother, Paul Husebye (Charleen); grandchildren, Tim (Karyn) Lane of Bremerton, Washington, Diana (Andy) Stevens of Auckland, New Zealand, Kerry (Ray) Zabel of Missoula, Gina (Mike) Sisson of San Diego, Terri (Esbon) Griffin of Hubbard, Oregon, Christine (Ted) Stonecliffe of Portland, Jeff Pejuan of Bigfork, and Fanya (Patrick) Randall of Austin, Texas; 15 great-grandchildren, one great-great- grandchild, cousin-in-law, Virginia Larson, of Kalispell; several nieces and a nephew. 

Joan was preceded in death by her sister Helen Gaudreau, brother John Husebye, and granddaughter Dina Pejuan.

At her request, there will be no public service.
