Tammey Jo (Nix) Stremel Blinco, 56

Tammey Jo (Nix) Stremel Blinco, 56, of Kalispell, passed away at home on Aug. 16, 2016, after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer.

Tammey was born March 14, 1960, in Liberal, Kansas, where she grew up and graduated from Liberal High School in 1979.

In 1989 she moved to Kalispell with her then husband David Stremel and their three young children. She spent the rest of her life in Montana raising her family and working various office jobs. On July 7, 2007, she married her current husband, Bruce Blinco, who was by her side “until she departed for heaven.”

Tammey loved spending time with family, gardening, sewing for her 10 grandchildren, camping and collecting dolls.

Tammey was preceded in death by her mother, Mary Nix; grandmother, Hallie Nix; grandfather, Clarence Nix; and an uncle, Loren Nix.

She is survived by her husband of nine years, Bruce L. Blinco; children, Lesile and husband Mat Driear, Carrie Stremel, Joseph Stremel and wife Cyndi, and Susan and husband Craig Meyers; and grandchildren, Hunter Driear, Ayden Driear, Evan Driear, Luke Driear, Zachary Driear, Noah Driear, Cylus Stremel, Trystin Nelson, Berlynn Stremel and Hallie Stremel.

Tammey was cremated and wanted to be brought home to be with her beloved grandparents. Her ashes will be laid to rest on at 10 a.m. on Nov. 21 at the Liberal Cemetery in Liberal, Kansas.
