Auditions for 'Murder on the Nile' Dec. 2 and 3

| November 28, 2016 12:27 PM

The Bigfork Community Players are seeking approximately six men and six women to act in “Murder on the Nile,” their winter production.

The open auditions will be conducted by director Larry Lefcourt and will be held at the Bigfork Community Center, Friday, Dec. 2 from 6:30 to 10 p.m. and Saturday, Dec. 2 from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Interested actors are asked to bring a self-portrait, preferably photographic.

“Come only with your picture, positive attitude and get ready to have some fun,” Lefcourt said.

“Murder on the Nile” is a story by Agatha Christie. As the story goes, Kay Ridgeway, reputedly the richest young woman in England, never wanted for anything. Then she met Simon Mostyn, the attractive but modestly successful former fiance to her (now former) best friend Jacqueline de Severac. On a honeymoon cruise up the Nile, Ridgeway is surprised to find that her former best friend has inadvertently booked the same cruise, as has her uncle and guardian, the Canon Ambrose Pennefather. Ridgeway has always followed her heart in matters of life but when bullets fly her uncle is left to sort it all out.

The Bigfork Community Center is located at 639 Commerce St. in Bigfork.
