Frederick John 'Fred' Hook, 77

| November 28, 2016 8:23 PM

On Thanksgiving afternoon, Nov. 24, 2016, at home in Yuma, Arizona, Fred passed peacefully with his wife, son, niece, nephew and their spouses near him.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, a niece, and his son Dru.

He is survived by his wife Penny, his sons Mark (Liisa), and Travis (Kendra), four grandchildren, a brother Glen (Jean), many nieces and nephews and their children.

Fred was born in Detroit on Feb. 26, 1939. He lived in Arizona, California, Washington and here in Kalispell, prior to moving to Yuma, Arizona, where he fought a courageous battle to remain healthy.

He was retired from the Seattle Fire Department and learned the craft of saddle making, which he continued doing after moving to Kalispell. It seemed like Fred knew everybody and everybody that knew Fred loved him.

During the course of his life, Fred had many interests and hobbies. He was a busy guy and always had something new going on; he was a multi-talented person. The same vehicle did not sit in his driveway very long; he always loved new toys.

Fred will be missed by family, friends and the car dealers for sure. We will catch you later Fred!
