Young dirt bikers raise concerns

A person called the Flathead County Sheriff’s Office to report that very small children were riding dirt bikes up and down Blacktail Road without helmets. The caller did not think the bikes were street-legal. A deputy was sent to investigate.

A caller on Shady Lane in Evergreen reported that her landlord was not letting her keep her cat’s kittens. The woman said she was in the process of moving out. The deputy found that the suspect involved in the dispute was not actually the woman’s landlord.

A person on U.S. 93 said transients had allegedly started a fire on a porch.

An officer gave advice to a woman on Gunsite Loop who reported that teenage boys had allegedly been shooting an Airsoft gun at a small child.

Two boys were counseled in Woodland Park about throwing baseballs at cars.

A woman warned deputies that something bad might happen after she posted remarks on Facebook about her son’s girlfriend allegedly peddling meth. She was concerned about possible retaliation, but worried about her son’s well- being.

Columbia Falls Police took a report from a man who said that another man had contacted him through a woman’s Facebook page, saying that his stolen car had been found in a parking lot with the keys inside. Officers were sent to investigate.

Whitefish Police removed a man from Central Avenue after he allegedly got in the face of a woman walking on the street with her two children. The man allegedly wanted to scare the children.
