Alleged bird-napper flies the coop

An alleged bird-napping was reported to the Flathead County Sheriff’s Office when a woman reportedly went to a man’s house and told him his pet birds were sick. The man told authorities that he did not know the woman, but when she offered to take his birds to a vet, he helped her load them into her car and paid her. The man said he then followed the woman to what he thought was a vet but turned out to be her house. The man said he has not gotten a further response from the woman about getting his birds back.

After a day at the shooting range, a man came home to find his wife had driven through the garage door. When asked why, the man told deputies that his wife said she was locked out and wanted in.

A suspected drug deal between two vehicles was reported on U.S. 2 East in Evergreen.

Two dogs were allegedly chasing horses on South Cedar Drive.

A man called law enforcement when he noticed the walls of a building on Montana 35 shaking because of what he thought was a physical altercation inside. Upon investigation, authorities determined the couple living there was moving property around and the female had broken the vanity doors.

Someone allegedly stole the battery out of a man’s vehicle on his property off Montana 35, put it in their mobile home and drove away.

A female brown and white pit bull was found on Montana 35 and transported to the county shelter.

After refusing to pay for his cab ride, a man was reportedly too intoxicated to walk to his destination and fell face-first while trying to exit the taxi. The cab driver told Kalispell Police the man was bleeding and was unconscious for about a minute before he got up and started yelling at the driver. The driver told authorities he was not concerned with being paid but was more worried about the man’s health.

A resident of Ninth Avenue West said someone put a mountain bike in her yard. The woman said she found the bike propped up against her truck and was concerned it might be stolen.

A man was reportedly seen urinating on a school building and flipping off passing cars while children were present on the playground. The caller allegedly got a picture of the man in the act. Authorities found the man who agreed to behave himself and move along.

Two young children were allegedly standing on the guardrails on U.S. 93 North with no adult present. The person reporting them said the kids looked to be around five years old and appeared to be waving something.

Whitefish Police were called to pick up a lab mix running loose on East Second Street that was allegedly being aggressive with other dogs. The dog was wearing a choke collar and a pink bandana.

An Australian shepherd was found and turned over to the police.

A beverage delivery person told Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office that a “kid” stole 15 beers out of his truck during a delivery and took off driving toward Libby.

Someone’s wallet was found near a coffee shop on Hamann Avenue.

Authorities responded to a location on Pioneer Road after several kids were reported for building a dam, causing water to run down the road.

Juvenile males were allegedly seen tearing up playground equipment.

A house on White Avenue was reportedly broken into.

A gang of pit bull puppies were reported for allegedly being aggressive toward other dogs and attempting to attack an elderly woman.

After finding a hound dog wandering around in the highway near Bear Creek Road, a woman decided to take the dog home with her.
