| April 4, 2017 8:09 PM

Julia Ellan Mostad Roehl, 76, of Loveland, Colorado, suddenly “went on to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ” on March 9, 2017, due to a pulmonary embolism.

A public viewing will be held from 5 to 7 p.m on Friday, April 7, at Johnson-Gloschat Funeral Home in Kalispell. The funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, April 8, at Johnson-Gloschat Funeral Home, with a private family burial to follow at C.E. Conrad Memorial Cemetery.

Julia (known as Judy by those she loved) was born in Malta to Ted and Elsie Mostad on May 26, 1940. She went to high school at Anaconda High School, graduating in 1958. She was an athlete extraordinaire. Her 1957-58 high school fast-pitch softball team was State Champion with Judy being their fastest, albeit slightly erratic, pitcher as well as their very talented first-base ace. Not only did she excel in softball, she also was an excellent bowler. Judy won second place at State in 1976, and had a 635 high-series with no handicap. Her athletic abilities transcended into playing sports with the family, including with grandkids. Judy was the best mom and grandmother ever! She was fun, supportive, loving and kind.

Judy enjoyed serving others, loving animals and those who seemed to need love and kindness the most. “She is currently enjoying great rewards in heaven, because she operated in the currency of heaven: unconditional love, self-sacrificial service and abundant faith.”

Her prayers will be felt for generations.

Judy was preceded in death by her parents, Ted and Elsie Mostad; two brothers, Gerald Mostad and Jim McGillis; and previous husband, Lee Roehl.

Judy is survived by her sister, Phyllis Bloom, of Kalispell; daughter, Rhonda Marcus, of Fort Collins, Colorado; daughter, Robin Main, of Loveland; son, John Roehl, of Kalispell; six grandchildren, LeAnn Loccisano, Jesse Roehl, Hunter Roehl, Austin Roehl, Jessica Marcus and Cody Main; and five great-grandchildren, Anissa Marcus, Annika Roehl, Harper Roehl, AJ Roehl and Olivia Roehl.
