Woman reports potential assault

A woman reported being assaulted by a man smelling of alcohol stumbling around in an alley on Sixth Avenue West. The woman told Kalispell Police that the man was all over her, grabbing at her chest and trying to get her to go with him. The man reportedly had a pink cast on his arm, no teeth and a Chihuahua wearing a pink sweater.

An on-duty officer found a black and white Shar-Pei dog lying on its back in the middle of Sixth Avenue East. The officer said the dog seemed uninjured and seemed to be lying there for no reason. The officer had to stop in the middle of the road and physically move the dog to the side. The dog was taken to the county shelter when her owner could not be found.

A man was allegedly seen lying in the middle of North Main Street for no known reason, teaching bad habits to dogs.

A Boy Scout troop leader reported finding a lost bike while cleaning a section of Airport Road. The troop sat with the lost bike until Flathead County Sheriff’s deputies could retrieve it.

Someone apparently pulled a fire extinguisher off a building in West Glacier and attempted to break into the building by using it to smash a window. They failed and left without taking anything.

The owner of a pawn shop allegedly broke a necklace someone was attempting to sell. The owner of the trinket claimed the shop owner then became confrontational, apparently not interested in buying a broken necklace.

A driver for Meals on Wheels was allegedly bitten by a dog while out making deliveries on Rose Crossing.

Two golden labs outstayed their welcome after allegedly hanging out at someone’s house for two weeks. The owner of the property requested an officer pick up the two squatters.

Columbia Falls Police responded to a report of a black bear tearing up a barbecue off U.S. 2 East. Authorities could not locate the bear upon arrival but said they would set a trap for it as it was becoming problematic.
