Dive for deals gone bad?

The Kalispell Police Department responded to reports of a woman who had become stuck in some clothing donation bins on U.S. 93 South early Sunday morning. The caller said a couple of people had attempted to get to her, but hadn’t been successful in getting her out. The caller didn’t know who the woman was, or how she had become stuck. Officers called in assistance from the Kalispell Fire Department, and together the responders were able to get her out safely.

Someone called police after allegedly witnessing an unauthorized truck taking water from a fire hydrant on Church Drive.

A road sign was reportedly knocked over on Woodland Park Drive.

A theft was reported from a house under construction on 11th Avenue West.

A Third Avenue East resident reported the tires on their vehicle had been slashed sometime overnight.

A previously stolen vehicle was reportedly recovered in an alley off Fourth Avenue West North.

A passer-by reported seeing an intoxicated man walking in the middle of Main Street. Officers were unable to locate the suspect.

A Merganser Drive resident reported that some snow tires were stolen from his truck.

Flathead County Sheriff’s deputies picked up a young male dog from Dawn Drive in Columbia Falls, and took the Pointer to the county animal shelter.

A Sunnyside Drive resident in Kalispell reported that his mailbox had been knocked off the post and damaged overnight.

A caller reported “multiple cows in the road” near a green box site.

Another caller, this time on Trumble Creek Road, reported a black bovine attempting to enter her garage. It was unclear if the stray was part of the larger herd reported earlier.

A vehicle parked on Bar H Drive was reportedly gone through overnight. The vehicle’s owner said nothing was apparently damaged or missing; her belongings had just been tossed around.

A black-and-white, male shepherd-mix dog without a collar was reportedly running around the neighborhood on Roybals Way in Kalispell. Deputies took him to the county shelter.

Someone reported a man riding a yellow all-terrain vehicle dangerously close to the train tracks in Essex. Rail employees requested that deputies speak to the man about the importance of keeping a safe distance from the tracks.

A man told deputies that someone was stealing fence posts off his parents’ property on South Hilltop Road in Columbia Falls.

Some items were reportedly stolen out of a vehicle parked on Whipps Lane in Lakeside.

A caller told the Whitefish Police Department that three transients were sleeping on the sidewalk in front of a Central Avenue business, and thought they might be using the same area as a bathroom as well. Officers told the unwelcome sleepers to move along.

A woman was reportedly verbally harassed by a group of men on Baker Avenue. She did not want to press charges, but did want the men counseled in the hopes of preventing the harassment of anyone else.

A Ninth Street West resident told the Columbia Falls Police Department that her gold-colored Lexus had been stolen.
