Puppy dead of gunshot wound

Someone allegedly shot a puppy, according to a report by the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office. According to the reporting person, the pup showed up at his residence and died shortly after from its injuries.

A man believed to be high on drugs allegedly attempted to break into a home on Zimmerman Road for two hours while the owners were home. Flathead County Sheriff’s deputies responding to the residence separated the parties without incident.

A man reported a chainsaw stolen from his home and said he suspected his “drug-crazed neighbors.” The man later called back to notify authorities he located the chainsaw in his tool shed.

A woman reported being scammed by a caller impersonating a police officer. The man allegedly told her she owed money on her taxes and told her to buy gift cards and give him the card numbers. The woman allegedly then bought $1,400 worth of gift cards but told authorities they had not yet been used. Officers advised the woman to put the gift cards on her account and to contact the local internet crimes agency.

A mother reported two dogs for killing two goats on her property after the goats allegedly got into the dogs’ pen. The dogs and goats belonged to renters leasing from the woman, but she expressed concern about her toddler getting into the pen and being injured. Officers told the woman it would be up to her whether to allow the dogs to stay on the property or not.

A bike was reported stolen from Seventh Street West, according to Columbia Falls Police.

An all-terrain vehicle was reported stolen from Nucleus Avenue.

Someone reportedly put “a ton” of empty CD cases into a 12th Street East resident’s trashcan, according to a Kalispell Police report.

A bicycle was reported stolen from First Avenue East.

A woman was reported for theft after employees of a pharmacy on Third Avenue East North allegedly saw her putting lotion and hair care products into her purse without paying.

A different woman was allegedly sighted at a different store putting various cosmetics, shampoo and fake nails into her purse without paying.

A woman was reportedly found lying on a bench at a business on Hutton Ranch Road. The woman was suspected to be intoxicated as she kept waking up and then passing out.

A 1-year-old child reportedly locked himself in a bathroom.

A laptop and tablet were reportedly stolen out of a vehicle on East California Street.
