Eugenia Ford Tartaglino, 53

Eugenia F. Tartaglino passed away on Friday, Aug. 4, 2017, at Kalispell Regional Medical Center.

She was born Jan. 10. 1964.

Better known as Genia, her legacy of public service and volunteer work runs deep in the Flathead Valley, having been an integral member of the founding of the Woodland Ice Center and the Flathead Valley Hockey Association, as well as working in health promotions at the Flathead County Health Department.

Her influence as a charismatic, caring, funny, outspoken and extraordinarily strong individual will never be forgotten. Her resoundingly positive attitude has impacted so many people and helped and inspired countless individuals.

She was preceded in death by her father, Merton E. Ford, formerly of Centennial, Colorado.

She is survived by husband, Stephen, three children, Samantha, Brenton and Stephanie, as well as her mother, Angela Ford and sister, Patty Smith of Centennial.

A rosary service will be held at 6 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 10, at Johnson-Gloschat Funeral Home, followed by a memorial service at 11 a.m. on Friday, Aug. 11, at Saint Matthew’s Church in Kalispell.

The family is asking in lieu of flowers that donations in her honor be made to either the Girls Program at Flathead Valley Hockey Association, or the Flathead Cancer Aid Services. Please make checks payable to the addresses listed below.
