Police handle parking problems

| August 13, 2017 11:11 PM

A caller told the Whitefish Police Department that a truck had parked the wrong way on Spruce Court. Officers contacted the truck’s owner, who said he would park it correctly.

Police received another call a few hours later about a different truck — this time blocking a sidewalk — on Spruce Court. Officers also spoke to that truck’s owners, who moved the vehicle. It was unclear if the reports came from the same caller, or if it was just a bad parking coincidence.

Someone called police when a passport went missing. The caller suspected it had been accidentally left on the train, but wanted to make a report in case someone found it and turned it in.

Three dogs were reportedly running loose on Park Avenue. The caller told police it was an ongoing problem, and that these particular dogs “seem aggressive toward smaller critters.” Officers couldn’t find any dogs in the area.

Police took several complaints from Wisconsin Avenue and Glenwood Court residents about loud and offensive music being played at a nearby venue. Officers spoke with a manager at the venue about the complaints.
