Noe Gomez, 65

Noe Gomez, 65, of Bigfork, passed away Friday, Aug.11, 2017, at his home.

Noe was born July 16, 1952, in Los Angeles to Pedro and Juanita (Solorio) Gomez. He graduated from Montebello High School in 1970 and is a graduate of Long Beach University.

On Sept. 21, 1974, Noe married the love of his life, Susan Martinez, in San Pedro, California.

Noe worked for the state of Montana at Job Service for 19 years. He started many churches in various states in the U.S., including Pennsylvania, Florida, California and Montana. For 23 years he pastored Glacier Mountain Fellowship in south Kalispell. He also served as chaplain for the Kalispell Police Department.

Noe had a passion for winning souls for Christ. He loved people; there wasn’t a person he met that he couldn’t or didn’t talk to. His mantra was “Let’s make Jesus famous.”

He enjoyed hunting and fishing, but more than that, he loved his grandchildren. His grandchildren were the light of his life. He was proud of each and every one of them.

Noe is survived by his wife of 43 years Susan; his daughter Angie Martinez of Long Beach, California, his son Noe Mario Gomez of Bigfork/Bakersfield, California, and his grandchildren Britnee Ornelas, Aaron Martinez, Carissa Ornelas, Noe Esai Gomez, Sunnee Gomez, son Luis (Cynthia) Cruz of Modesto, California, grandsons Louie Cruz and Joshua Cruz, and granddaughter Vanessa Noble, great-grandsons TJ Noble, Nolen Noble and great-granddaughter Jazzy Noble; sisters, Betty Lopez, Velia Sanchez, Celia Baeza, Becky Solorio, Judit Head, Delilah Ejan, Dorothy Gonzales and Romona Rocha; and brothers, Abe Gomez, Marcos Gomez and Peter Gomez III. Noe was preceded in death by his parents, his son Stephen Gomez, and brothers Pete Gomez II and Mario Gomez.

Noe will be fondly remembered by his family and friends as a loving husband, father and grandfather, pastor, chaplain, mentor and friend. A celebration of life service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Aug. 18, at Crossroads Christian Fellowship, 7465 Montana Highway 35, in Bigfork. Burial will immediately follow services at Bigfork Community Cemetery. Food and fellowship will follow at the home of Noe and Susan Gomez, 127 Esteban Lane, Bigfork MT 59911.
