| August 24, 2017 1:12 PM

The Deadication Festival is once again coming to Columbia Falls, from 1 to 9 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 26. Gates open at noon. This annual event features food, art and music inspired by the Grateful Dead, put on by local musicians and vendors.

This year, Make It Groovy Productions is hosting the fourth annual all-ages, community-centered music festival. Charitable contributions, from the net proceeds of beer and wine concessions, will benefit Gateway to Glacier Trail.

Adult tickets are $20, and children age 12 and younger get in for free. Admission includes a free yoga class with Yoga Hive Montana, and full access to the six performing bands and children’s activity area. Ticket holders will also receive half-price admission to the late night show with Ben Sparaco at the Great Northern Bar and Grill in Whitefish following the festival.

In addition to the Ben Sparaco Band, other performing groups include Dirty Revival, 20 Grand, Ginstrings, Dodgy Mountain Men and the Pickin’ Pear.

Food vendors on site will include Wrap and Roll Cafe, Saucy Dogs, Whitefish Hostel and Super Sisters Cafe and Wok On Thai Cuisine. Drink vendors are Big Bear Coffee Roasting Co., Montana Bubble Tea Co., Glacier Shave Ice and BAR.

Artisan vendors include Miakoda, Aamon Jaeger, Glitter Tatz and others.

The festival will be held at Marantette Park, 233 13th St. E., Columbia Falls.
