Torn bike streamers not intentional

An caller contacted the Columbia Falls Police Department to report their daughter’s bike had allegedly been vandalized. The person said a juvenile female ripped the streamers off the bike. An officer responded to the scene and spoke with the suspect’s grandmother who said she would replace the streamers in about two days. She also noted that the incident wasn’t intentional — her granddaughter reportedly fell and grabbed the streamers to break her fall.

A man called the Flathead County Sheriff’s Office to report someone broke into his girlfriend’s van. The caller said he thought the suspect was his girlfriend’s ex who reportedly texted her, “You got yours, now I’ll get mine” the night of the incident.

An employee at a used car dealership reportedly was threatened by a female customer who allegedly told them that “she’ll get hers.” Both parties were counseled by law enforcement.

Two males were reportedly asking for free stuff at a local coffee shop and allegedly said they would break in if they had to. Officers were unable to locate the suspects.

A U.S. Forest Service employee was reportedly being followed by a woman in a maroon vehicle who was allegedly making obscene gestures at the employee and accused him of taking photos of her for the government.

A woman reportedly went to pick up her children from their father and his new wife, who was allegedly violent toward her. The new wife allegedly banged on her vehicle and threw rocks, breaking her window before reportedly getting into her own vehicle and ramming the caller’s vehicle. The caller stated she wished to press charges. The other woman was arrested for criminal endangerment and criminal mischief.

A cow was reportedly spotted limping around and its trough that was turned over. An officer responded and decided to contact the Montana Department of Livestock to find out who the owner was.

An officer spoke with a 12-year-old boy who had no shoes and was walking on a road. The boy reportedly told the officer he and his brother had a fight about ice cream. After speaking with the officer, the boy stated he was fine and was heading home.

A woman said her boyfriend threatened to shoot everyone after she broke up with him, according to Kalispell Police Department dispatch logs. She was uncertain whether or not he had a gun. An officer spoke with the caller who stated she was just being overly dramatic because of the breakup and would call back if she needed assistance.

A male allegedly told a woman the next time he came to a local dog park, he would bring a gun and shoot her dogs, according to Whitefish Police Department dispatch logs. The woman was reportedly concerned about taking her dogs to the park. The reporting party was advised to contact the department the next time they saw the male in question.

The Lake County Sheriff’s Office identified the woman killed on East Post Creek Road Sunday at Jessi Qualtier, 36, of Ronan. The incident is under investigation by the Lake County Sheriff’s Office and Montana Highway Patrol.
