James Andrew Vale, 24

| August 31, 2017 4:00 AM

James Andrew Vale died on Sunday, Aug. 27, 2017.

James was born on Nov. 7, 1992, in Asuncion, Paraguay. He was adopted almost immediately into the loving home of parents David and Carolyn Vale and big sister Chloe, who was also from Paraguay. He adapted quickly to the abrupt change in climate of his new home in Minnesota.

James first attended school with his big sister at the Little School of Montessori in St. Paul. Later he attended Turtle Lake Elementary in Shoreview; Johnson Park Elementary in Princeton, New Jersey; Princeton High; Bigfork High in Montana; and Flathead Valley Community College. He was planning to continue his education in theater arts at Western Washington University this fall.

James was a talented guitarist, a formidable martial artist, a gifted actor, a budding director, and a joy to many who came to know him. He will be sorely missed by his parents, his big sister, and his extended family of aunts, uncles, cousins, grandparents, and his small dachshund, Jem.

A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 2, in the theater of the Arts and Technology Building at Flathead Valley Community College.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the James Vale Memorial Scholarship Fund, FVCC Foundation, 777 Grandview Dr., Kalispell, MT 59901.
