Man's feathers ruffled by trespassing poultry

A man told Kalispell Police he wanted his neighbors charged after their chickens allegedly entered his yard.

A 20-year-old man was taken into custody when he allegedly attempted to run after stealing a sub sandwich from a grocery store.

A downed power line reportedly caused a small fire in the roadway near a car dealership.

A woman was reported for stealing chips, a bag of pretzels and “mini weenies” from a convenience store.

A man reportedly high on drugs allegedly approached another man’s house and attempted to break in by breaking windows with a baseball bat, saying someone sold him some “bad [expletive].”

After being evicted from his apartment, a man was reportedly seen breaking a window to the unit and climbing in to retrieve his belongings.

According to Whitefish Police, a male driver was reportedly seen walking away from the scene of an accident after he allegedly hit a mailbox, speed limit sign and a tree with his car. The man reportedly got out of the wrecked vehicle and continued on foot down a bike path.

A group of kids were reported for crossing a tape line and skateboarding on wet concrete, causing damage to the wet driveway.

Two small dogs were rescued from a locked car on East Seventh Street and their owner cited for animal cruelty.

A grizzly bear was reportedly spotted on River Road, according to Columbia Falls Police.

A woman was reportedly seen sitting on a street corner attempting to take her clothes off. When approached, the woman claimed she was taking a new medication that she was not used to.

An individual contacted the Flathead County Sheriff’s Office to report their daughter’s boyfriend tried to sell them horse tack which they thought may have been stolen. The caller stated the boyfriend was an alleged drug dealer with a history of theft. Dispatch was unable to locate any records of lost or stolen items matching the description.

A woman reportedly assaulted a man’s juvenile son. An officer responded to the scene and spoke with the alleged assailant, who reported four little boys were trespassing on her property carrying what appeared to be poles with spikes on them. The woman said the boys allegedly threw the poles toward her horses. The woman said her horses had recently been injured and that she suspected the boys. The reporting party said the woman grabbed his son by the shirt and arm and threatened to sue them. An officer advised both parties to avoid conflict and suggested the woman and her husband set up game cameras to catch the trespassers.

A small fire was reported beneath a wooden deck in Bigfork. The homeowner had reportedly been burning wood and boards on the sidewalk connected with the house.

A woman reported a male who allegedly tried to kill her the week before was throwing stuff around their house in front of a juvenile. The caller reportedly had a gun on the counter and said when deputies arrived on scene she would step away from the counter. Law enforcement responded to the scene and served the male with a temporary restraining order.
