Officers called to investigate special delivery

Employees on an Amtrak train called Whitefish Police to report a woman who allegedly refused to let go of a bag that smelled of marijuana. Unable to check the bag, employees requested an officer meet the train at the station to confront the woman. The officer arrived at the station to find he’d missed the train but spoke with the conductor via radio to resolve the situation.

Someone reported a man walking through a parking lot, stating he attempted to say “hi” to the man. The man reportedly responded by telling him not to talk to him and that he was “lucky he wasn’t [expletive] dead.” The suspect was reportedly removed from the premises the day before for attempting to steal beer.

Someone was reportedly doing broadies behind a gas station when they got their vehicle stuck. The reporting party hung up on dispatch before identifying the subjects, but called back to say they had gotten unstuck.

A man reported a woman to the Flathead County Sheriff’s Office for assault, stating she threw a pair of headphones at him, hit him in the face and tried to hit him with her vehicle. Surveillance cameras, witnesses and physical evidence provided no indication that the altercation ever occurred.

A small black scruffy dog was reportedly seen feeding on something in a ditch on Van Sant Road.

A boarder collie was found on Central Avenue and taken to the county animal shelter.

Two dogs were taken into custody after a resident of Brookhollow Lane reported them for harassing and acting aggressively toward she and her horses. An officer took the dogs to the county animal shelter.
