Nicholas Minaj returns to Whitefish for two shows

| December 21, 2017 1:25 PM

Boston-based DJ/Producer Nicholas Minaj will return to Whitefish for two nights of performances at Casey’s on Friday, Dec. 22 and Saturday, Dec. 23.

Minaj’s DJ sets are known for their high energy blend of EDM mash-ups, top 40 remixes, Melbourne bounce and party jams along with custom visual production elements.

“These shows are going to be a lot more than just a regular DJ set”, Minaj explained. “I’ve been studying the ins-and-outs of stage production over the last few years and have always wanted to incorporate the techniques I’ve learned into one massive production. With their sound system and state-of-the-art club atmosphere, Casey’s is the perfect venue to finally showcase what I’ve put together. I can’t wait to present a truly unique experience next month!”

Nicholas Minaj, aka Nick Ferrington, was a staple in the Montana music scene since 2003 as a local DJ and bassist/vocalist for Whitefish punk band and Vans Warped Tour veterans, El Pollo Diablo. After moving to Boston in 2012, Minaj began producing his own electronic dance music and mash-ups while performing around Boston and occasionally returning to Montana for regional tours. His latest original release, “Gianforte (Bodyslam)” went viral around the state after the song was featured in an interview on Montana Public Radio during summer 2017.

Additionally, Minaj is a resident DJ for Bootie Boston, Beantown’s edition of the world’s largest internationally syndicated club night which hosts events in LA, Paris, NYC and many more including it’s home-base of San Francisco. In addition to being a regularly booked DJ for celebrities and corporate functions throughout the northeast, Minaj recently opened for multi-platinum recording artist Lil Jon to a massive Halloween crowd in Billings.

He most recently released, “How You Resolve Me”, a mash-up featuring EDM artists 3LAU and Audien available on his website, www.nicholasminaj.com.

In addition, Minaj is a co-host of “Ranting & Raving”, an electronic dance music podcast available on iTunes featuring news and commentary on the international rave scene.

Casey’s is located at 101 Central Ave. in Whitefish. Doors open at 9 p.m., with Nicholas Minaj at 11:30 p.m.
