Man sent to hospital with gunshot wound

A man was transported to the hospital with a gunshot wound to the hand Thursday.
Officers with the Flathead County Sheriff’s Office and Kalispell Police Department responded at 12:05 p.m. to a call of gunshot victim on Lower Valley Road in South Kalispell.
It was initially unclear whether the wound was self-inflicted or the man had been shot, Sheriff Chuck Curry told the Daily Inter Lake. He said the case remained under investigation and that officers were waiting to interview the victim.
Lower Valley Road was temporarily closed to traffic while law enforcement investigated and searched for any potential suspects.
