Valentine's in the Valley

| February 9, 2017 4:00 AM

Tuesday is Valentine’s Day.

Really.

Already.

If this is the first you’re hearing about it — and pay attention if it is — the Flathead Valley has you covered with dinners, parties, dances and more, ranging from everyone’s favorite price (free) to exquisite (and expensive) gourmet meals.

Here’s a quick look at some of what to do with the current (or future) love of your life, starting this weekend and running through Tuesday night.

For the latest updates and calendar information, check www.dailyinterlake.com, like This Week in the Flathead on Facebook or follow @flatheadweek on Twitter.

_____

Valentine’s Dance

Saturday, Feb. 11, 7 p.m.

Linderman Education Center, Kalispell

Families are invited to this affordable, all-ages party, including dancing, snacks and door prizes.

Tickets are $5 per person or $15 for a family of four.

Be My Valentine

Saturday, Feb. 11, 6-11 p.m.

Marina Cay Resort, Bigfork

If you’re not married (pun intended) to celebrating on the day itself — or perhaps have a job that will keep you occupied Tuesday night — spend Saturday with dinner and live music near Bigfork Bay.

Chef Brook Robison will be creating special dishes just for this night, and cellist Lee Zimmerman will be providing the ambiance.

Teen Social

Tuesday, Feb. 14, 4-5:30 p.m.

ImagineIF Library, Kalispell

Students in grades 6-12 are invited to discuss their favorite books, play on the library’s Wii consoles, create crafts and — best of all — eat free food.

The library will even have an Anti-Valentine’s Day area to celebrate singles.

Three-Course Dinner & Brews

Tuesday, Feb. 14, 4-9 p.m.

Flathead Lake Brewing Co., Bigfork

Artisanal food and craft beer is on the menu at the venerable Bigfork brewery, which has put together a three-course dinner with recommended beer pairings.

Food includes bacon-wrapped, blue-cheese stuffed dates, filet mignon, lobster tail and dessert.

The meal is $38 per person although beer is not included.

Romantic Wine Dinner

Tuesday, Feb. 14, 5-9 p.m.

Great Northern Gourmet, Bigfork

The Great Northern Gourmet has a full five-course menu ready for the dozen or so diners that can reserve a seat at this cozy locale.

Zimmerman will be playing his cello here, too, and the menu includes six different wines.

There will be two seatings, at 5 and 7 p.m., and reservations are a must. Call 837-2715 to book.

Library Lovers

Tuesday, Feb. 14, 6 p.m.

Hilton Garden Inn, Kalispell

Enjoy dinner and support a good cause at this fundraiser for West Shore Community Library.

Tickets are $75 per person.

A Cautionary Cabaret

Tuesday, Feb. 14, 6:30 p.m.

Great Northern Bar and Grill, Whitefish

The Viscosity Cabaret is back with a special dinner theater performance on Valentine’s Day at the Great Northern.

The always-raunchy, no-holds-barred comedy team is joined by a trio of local food providers — Mama Q’s Vietnamese Kitchen, Indah Sushi and Delectable Desserts — to entertain with both a show and a meal.

Tickets are $69.99 per person and can be purchased at www.viscositycabaret.org.
