Two dogs attempt shopping spree

| February 13, 2017 10:01 PM

Two dogs reportedly tried to enter a store in Kalispell multiple times before an employee called the Flathead County Sheriff’s Office to remove them. The dogs’ owner retrieved them before authorities arrived and before the dogs could get any shopping done.

A stove was allegedly stolen from a “show home” in Kalispell. The employee reported nothing else stolen or disturbed in the house.

A woman fearing for her dog’s safety reported her neighbors for allegedly making death threats against the animal for barking at deer.

A phone call to police revealed an address and nothing more before the call disconnected. When police responded to the location given, they found the apartment had been destroyed. The resident stated a woman had allegedly spray painted the walls and “broken everything she could” before taking off in his car. The man, however, did not wish to press charges at that time.

Police responded to a report of a man drinking with a group of teenagers to find no evidence of an alcohol violation. The man’s wife, who had made the report, allegedly asked the responding officer to trespass the teens from her house. Police informed the woman that the group was in the house at her husband’s invitation and could not, therefore, be removed.

The Whitefish Police Department received a report on an officer who allegedly failed to signal before a turn.

Someone reported that deer’s leg was severed by a train on its way through Whitefish. The deer reportedly managed to get up and walk away.

A man reported an injured eagle he allegedly found and wrapped in a coat to the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office. The man called back minutes later to report the eagle had died.

One residence was reportedly housing 16 dogs when someone called police requesting a welfare check on the animals.

Paint damage was reported on a car that had allegedly been vandalized with eggs that were reportedly “not hard boiled,” according to Kalispell Police Department reports.
