Noisy neighbors tune down subwoofers

Whitefish Police Department received a noise complaint from a caller on Montana Avenue, whose neighbors had allegedly been been playing loud music. The caller stated that they had “very loud subwoofers” and a “very loud bass.” Officers made contact with the caller’s neighbors and they agreed to keep the music down.

A caller on Woodland Place reported that unleashed dogs were chasing a deer. The caller was advised to contact a business line to report the animal, and the man stated, “not to worry about it” and that he would “shoot the dogs.”

The manager of a local business in Whitefish called to report an incident of criminal mischief when she discovered a frog character spray painted on the back of a city “no parking sign.” The woman believed the frog to be affiliated with political movements.

A vehicle was seen driving into the oncoming lane of traffic on Wisconsin Avenue. The caller suspected that the driver was driving under the influence. The woman told officers that she had dropped her cellphone and had accidentally drifted while trying to pick it up. She was counseled on distracted driving.

A caller on Highway 93 S. reported that his gun, which he had loaned to a friend, had allegedly been pawned. The caller attempted to contact the pawn shop. The pawn shop would not release the gun to him, but said that they would contact the seller to let her know he wanted the gun back.
