Woman stranded in the bathroom

A woman called the Columbia Falls Police Department from inside a Nucleus Avenue business. The woman said she was inside the establishment’s bathroom when “they shut the lights off on her.” She said she had been yelling to get someone to turn the lights back on, but had been unsuccessful. Before officers could respond to offer assistance, she told dispatch she was able to find her way out of the bathroom and decided to walk home.

A Montana Avenue resident called the Whitefish Police Department about some neighbors who were allegedly “partying and playing very loud music.” The caller added that when he went to the offending residence and asked that the music be turned down, the occupants allegedly threatened to kill him. Officers spoke with the suspects.

An employee of a U.S. 93 North gas station called the Kalispell Police Department after a man in a gold-colored SUV allegedly took off without paying for fuel.

A black lab dog was reportedly running loose near First Street West and Third Avenue West.

An alleged shoplifter was taken into custody in a store on First Avenue East North.

A woman reported that her purse had gone missing. She thought it had possibly been left behind somewhere or stolen.

Officers stopped a suspicious man walking around a Second Street West building with a flashlight. Turns out the man was a maintenance man doing a security check.

Someone at a U.S. 93 South business called to report “a bunch of weird people coming in and out.” The caller said it wasn’t the usual bunch for a Friday night, and thought there might be drug deals and/or drug use going on.

A Sixth Avenue West resident reported a possible burglary attempt. The caller said the family had been sleeping when there was a loud crash near where the back door is located. Responding officers noted there were tracks around the outside of the house, but nothing appeared to be missing and no one was injured. No suspects were found.

A man reported a lost wallet, and added that someone was allegedly using his bank card and taking money from his accounts.

The Kalispell Fire Department responded to reports of a dumpster fire on Fifth Avenue East.
