Man visited by 'beer'glar

The alleged victim of an attempted burglary called the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office to his home, claiming he was sure someone had tried to break into his house the night before. Authorities were unable to find any evidence of a break-in other than a lone beer can left on the resident’s doorstep.

Law enforcement was called to remove a boy from his parents’ home because he was “being disrespectful.”

Suspicious persons in hoodies were reported walking down a trail carrying rifles. Responding officers found the men were hunting rabbits with BB guns.

A bag of ammunition and other items was allegedly left on someone’s doorstep. The reporting person did not know when or why the bag was left, or by whom.

When a man did not receive the horse he ordered, he reported the sellers to the Flathead County Sheriff’s Office for fraud. According to the man, he had wired the owner of the horse $750 and expected the horse to be shipped that day. When he called the number to check on his purchase, the number was reportedly unresponsive.

A wallet was left behind during the alleged theft of a pair of binoculars. An employee reported finding the wallet in the box from the missing binoculars. She was not sure if the wallet was stolen or belonged to the suspect.

A woman reported her upstairs neighbor for “stomping the crap out of the ceiling” whenever she is on the phone with her boyfriend, according to a Columbia Falls Police report.

The Whitefish Police Department received a call from a citizen asking why the traffic was so bad. The caller refused to give a name but requested that the cops do something about the traffic.

The Kalispell Police Department issued a missing person alert when a woman reported her husband had not come home the night before. Later that day, the wife called back to state that her husband was home safe and had forgotten to remind her of his scheduled sleep study.

A 12-year-old called police when the father’s girlfriend allegedly would not stop kicking the door and ringing the doorbell. The child was home alone with two other siblings. The girlfriend reportedly left by the time authorities arrived.
