Smoking stove prompts call to police

Someone told Kalispell Police they were cleaning the stove when it started to smoke and said “they needed it checked out.”

A woman told dispatch she thought she saw child pornography and drug use in pictures on her Snapchat from a party. She said she would bring screen-shots to the police department the next day.

Officers checked on a dog chained outside after a worried neighbor called. Officers reported the dog was “shivering, clearly uncomfortable, trying to keep feet elevated by lifting them off the snow.”

Flathead County Sheriff’s officers pulled over a driver after receiving calls about the truck swerving into oncoming traffic and forcing several vehicles off the road.

A woman talked to dispatch from a chair lift after she allegedly pocket-dialed 911.

Officers looked for people driving trucks and allegedly “playing in the snow” by spinning and running stop signs in Kalispell.

A woman called for help, alleging her ex stole her dog and refused to return the animal.

A dispatcher called a Kalispell resident after something triggered a home alarm. The homeowner said there was a “nice dog and a shotgun with rubber bullets” in the home.

Whitefish Police Department received a report that a blue van reportedly had been parked on someone’s Karrow Avenue property for “at least” five years and wanted to know about towing or taking ownership of it.

A crying woman on Baker Avenue told police she was knocked down by two men who allegedly pushed her on the shoulder. The woman said the men allegedly left when she started to yell. Dispatchers said the woman kept repeating, “it could have been my sons.”

Someone on O’Brien Avenue said his or her vehicle was reportedly broken into and items stolen.

A man was reportedly a traffic hazard because he was wearing a dark coat and walking down the roadway.

Columbia Police Department received a report of a reckless driver on Ninth Street West. A truck was passing unsafely and swerving.

Extra patrol was requested on Grace Road after a woman saw footprints going through her driveway and a neighbor allegedly told her a man went over her fence and through to the next yard.
