Dorothy Burns, 77

Dorothy Burns was a loving wife, devoted mother and a caring grandmother.

She was born in Shelby on Nov. 10, 1939, to Raymond and Beatrice McVay.

In 1957 Dorothy graduated from Flathead County High School.

Shortly after high school Dorothy married Francis D. Burns on Nov. 15, 1960.

Dorothy loved her garden, to make crafts and, as the years passed, watching and playing with her grandkids.

Surrounded by family Dorothy passed away on Jan. 10, 2017, at North Valley Hospital.

She was preceded in death by her mother, father and two sisters.

Dorothy is survived by her husband, Francis; son LaVern and daughter-in-law, Pam; grandchildren, Tianna and Kyler; three sisters; a brother; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Thank you to the North Valley Hospital staff for such excellent care for our family. And a special thanks to Lou, who took such great care of our sweet Dorothy.

Cremation has already taken place and no services are planned at this time.
