Columbia Falls takes first at Ronan tournament

First place went to Columbia Falls High School Speech and Debate team this weekend as the team heads to divisionals.

Columbia Falls wrapped up the tournament with 212 points overall at the Ronan Invitational Tournament. Whitefish High School Speech and Debate placed second with 81 points and Polson was in third with 38 points.

“I was pleased to see the team do well against broad competition from all over the western division,” Columbia Falls Head Coach Tara Norick said.

In drama sweeps, Whitefish placed first.

Columbia Falls will host the Western Class A Divisional Tournament on Saturday, Jan. 21, with the top competitors advancing to state Jan. 27-28 in Laurel.
