Man fights a bat-wielding boyfriend

Kalispell Police Department received a report from a woman on Fourth Avenue East who said a man, who had reportedly slept in her car, was being held up against a house by her baseball bat-wielding boyfriend and a neighbor. The man reportedly attempted to fight the boyfriend before other people showed up and the man ran down an alley.

A “hysterical” man, who may have been drinking, reported his girlfriend was allegedly kidnapped after he came out of the bathroom and she was gone from a North Main Street restaurant. Apparently she had left with other people and told the man she’d be back when he called her.

A “large chunk of metal” reportedly sticking up from railroad tracks on North Main Street and Market Place Street was deemed “a problem in the making,” and traffic cones were set up.

A man on Second Street West and 10th Avenue West told police that a woman allegedly assaulted him by tackling him and punching him when he reportedly tried to say “goodbye” to her child.

Someone was concerned after seeing a swerving vehicle on West Center Street and South Meridian Road because she allegedly saw a child in the vehicle “flailing around” each time the driver swerved.

In a separate incident, another swerving vehicle was reportedly seen running a red light on Sunset Boulevard and West Wyoming Street.

A woman on Appleway Drive was allegedly being pushed down repeatedly by a man who was also throwing things at her.

An employee on U.S. 93 South told police that a man allegedly became upset and belligerent when staff reportedly said they couldn’t get into a safe to get his gun. The man reportedly said “he wanted the gun out of the safe so he could use the gun how it was intended.”

A man on Whitefish Stage reportedly asked if he could shoot a cat whose ears were allegedly falling off. He was advised that he should not shoot the cat, but could use a live trap and take it to a shelter.

A man was reportedly “eying” security staff on South Main Street.

Someone on U.S. 2 East in Kalispell told Flathead County Sheriff’s Office he or she allegedly had a “plethora” of lost wallets and purses that hadn’t been picked up by the owners.

A woman on Dawn Drive in Kalispell waited a year to report a stolen vehicle that she had allegedly loaned to another woman who had reportedly given it away and the vehicle was now impounded at Dawn Drive in Kalispell.

Squatters were reportedly living in an abandoned house on Third Avenue East.

Drugs were allegedly found on a student after a drug dog visited a U.S. 2 West campus in Kalispell.

Someone on Glacier Stage Lane told officers he reportedly gave money to a contractor for goods and services, but that the contractor allegedly never showed up with the products or completed the job he was hired for.

A case of road rage ensued on Somers Road in Somers when a man allegedly tailgated a woman’s vehicle, then passed her in a turning lane and slammed on his breaks.

A woman on U.S. 93 South told the Whitefish Police Department that the driver of a vehicle she hit was allegedly very rude when she talked to him and wanted it documented that she tried to offer her insurance in case he wanted to report the accident as a hit-and-run.

Someone wanted a welfare check on an elderly man with a walker he or she saw on Wisconsin Avenue, thinking the man looked lost. Apparently the man lived on Wisconsin Avenue, was OK and didn’t want a ride.

A physical disturbance at a Wisconsin Avenue business was reported when a man allegedly stuck his finger in a woman’s eye. The woman reportedly locked herself in the bathroom and snuck out the window.

A man said he was reportedly pushed to the ground by another man during a concert at a Central Avenue bar. The man called a second time when he said the man who allegedly assaulted him was back in the bar and hit someone else.

Someone was concerned about a man who reportedly puked and passed out inside a shuttle van on Central Avenue because while he was breathing, he wasn’t responding.
