Delores 'Dee' Ann Cartwright, 66

Delores “Dee” Ann Cartwright of Kalispell “was welcomed home by her heavenly father” Jan. 22, 2017.

Dee was born in Gary, Indiana, on April 17, 1950, the daughter of Claude and Peggy Zimmerle. Dee spent most of her youth being raised on her family’s farm in Michigan City, Indiana.

After graduation in 1969, Dee joined the United States Air Force. It was there she met and fell in love with William Prentice Cart-wright III.

They were married on Aug. 22, 1970. They raised two beautiful daughters, Jennifer and Elizabeth, in Indiana and moved to the Flathead Valley in 1998 to enjoy their retirement years.

Dee worked in the banking industry for 15 years. She enjoyed spending time outdoors with her family in Montana and was talented with sewing and crafting. She was actively involved in her church at Bible Baptist and thoroughly loved serving the Lord.

Her incredible kindness and loving spirit will be greatly missed by everyone who had the pleasure of knowing her.

Dee will be forever loved by those who have survived her, her daughters Jenny and Liz; her brother, “Stretc,”; two sisters, Karol and Diane; and many beloved grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.

Dee was preceded in death by her husband Bill, her parents Claude and Peggy, and brothers John and Kevin.

A celebration of life will be held at Bible Baptist Church in Kalispell.
