The Kalispell Police Department responded to a blown transformer above a building complex on East Washington and North Main streets after someone reported hearing a loud explosion and seeing a flash of light.

A man on South Main Street and Second Street East was incensed to see single vehicles allegedly taking up two parking spots each. The man claimed he was upset because he got parking tickets at the location and felt it was “double parking,” and wanted the vehicles cited. Dispatchers advised the man what “double parking” meant, but he was adamant the vehicles should be cited. There were apparently no lines visible for vehicles to park correctly, and thus no violations.

An employee from an East Montana Street business was concerned that fraud was being committed by a woman who allegedly came in with a mentally disabled man described as “very confused” while opening an account and making a transaction.

Someone on West Idaho Street said an elderly woman was unfit to drive after allegedly almost hitting two cars while parking. The woman was then seen allegedly going into a store with two little girls, who she purportedly hit with her cane. Turns out everything was OK and the allegations unfounded.

A man on First Avenue West allegedly told someone he was high on methamphetamines and seeing things that weren’t there. The man may have been “up for days.” Another call came later that four people were reportedly attempting to keep the man occupied to keep him from getting into his vehicle and driving.

A woman and man were separated and counseled after the man allegedly “blocked her in” with his vehicle at a First Avenue East gas station over an earlier dispute.

A caller reported several people out sledding for reportedly “making a lot of noise.” The sledders told police they would try to be quiet.

A ruckus broke out when two men were spotted allegedly fighting and throwing furniture around a U.S. 93 South business. One of the men claimed he was robbed. Both may have been bleeding.

Drug paraphernalia was reportedly found on Airport Road.

Bigfork Fire Department responded to a chicken coop fire on Sherman Lane. The chicken coop was a total loss and up to six chickens may have perished in the fire.

Columbia Falls Police Department responded to a broken-down semitractor-trailer that was blocking traffic on Ninth Street West.
