Superman arrested in case of mistaken identity

A man wearing a Superman shirt was reportedly found passed out on the ground of an empty lot by a passerby. A Flathead Sheriff’s deputy arrived to check on the man and discovered arrest warrants for a man with a different name whom he believed to be the same person. The possibly intoxicated Superman was arrested but quickly released once the deputy discovered he was neither the man he was searching for nor the hero he needed.

Alerted to his car alarm going off, a resident of Flathead Drive went outside to find someone had allegedly broken into his truck using tent poles and clothes hangers. The alleged thief reportedly stole a .45 caliber handgun and was described as a 5-6 male with long blond hair and a slight frame, possible armed.

Someone reportedly shot out the windows of a man’s school bus parked on South Main Street.

After his vehicle was reportedly stolen from a friend’s house on Autumn Court, a man pursued the alleged thief across town while on the phone with law enforcement. The man chased the silver/blue Mercury Cougar until losing sight of it in traffic. Officers later located the stolen vehicle parked on someone’s property on Country Way South. The suspect was not with the vehicle.

After finding out a storage facility was closing for business, a man called the sheriff’s office concerned about getting his meat back from one of the units.

A deer fawn was reportedly found stuck in someone’s basement. Fish and Wildlife officers were called to deal with the intruder.

A group of teens reportedly backed up traffic while jumping off a bridge. Cars were reportedly stopped, their drivers afraid to drive over the bridge while the kids were on it.

A 16-year-old girl reported being stuck at a house in an unknown location while drug abuse was taking place. The girl stated she was picked up by a friend and a male who took her to a house and began using meth. The male allegedly refused to take the girl home, forcing her to walk down the road until she could find a street sign to let officers know where she was. Deputies picked the girl up and returned her to her parents.

Suspected drug activity was reported on Ashley Lake Road.

A woman was reportedly hit by a truck while riding her bike, according to Kalispell Police. Though in shock, the woman incurred no other injuries than a scraped thumb.

A teenager was also allegedly hit while riding his bike. He sustained a laceration on his side and was bleeding from his arm. The alleged culprit remained on scene until the boy’s parents arrived.

A woman allegedly found a fake billion dollar bill with “terrorist propaganda written on it.”

A man’s Jeep was reportedly stolen while he was inside a casino.

A woman reported a man allegedly came to her house and knocked on the door. After informing him he had the wrong house, the man allegedly went into the woman’s yard, picked up her sprinkler and started moving it around. Officers arrived and cautioned the man against knocking on random doors.

A bike was found and turned over to Kalispell Police.

A live bat allegedly entered a business. The business owner was informed he would be responsible for removing it.
