Driver distracted by topless pedestrian

A topless woman reportedly was seen walking down Montana 35. The reporting person told Flathead County Sheriff’s deputies he was unable to remember what color the woman’s shorts were but emphasized that she was “completely topless.” Deputies located the woman and gave her a ride to her address.

Suspected drug activity was reported at a hotel off U.S. 2 East.

A woman reported seeing a human head and foot “pop out” from a pile of garbage in the back of a pickup traveling down Montana 35. The woman said she was sure it was a person and could not imagine how it could be under all the garbage in the back of the truck. Officers conducted a traffic stop and discovered multiple subjects riding voluntarily in the back of the pickup in question.

While riding his horse through downtown Bigfork, a man was scolded when his horse left its calling card in the road. Officers informed the man there are no ordinances in place to prevent him from riding his horse in town, but told him common sense dictates that if the horse “does its business in front of a business” or on the street, the manure should be picked up.

A camper was stolen from a residence on Dower Draw while the homeowners were out of town.

A black and white border collie mix was found on U.S. 2 East and taken to the county shelter.

A man reportedly threatened several people with a pistol on Hoffman Draw. The man allegedly smashed out the lights of one person’s vehicle and took off on an ATV.

At least five residents of Shadow Wood Road came forward to file complaints for two dogs that are allegedly repeatedly allowed to run loose in the area by their owner. One resident demanded the dogs be destroyed. Officers cited the owner of the two dogs for two counts of dog at large.

Two 12-year-old kids were reported for allegedly “trafficking drugs” on Bear Hollow Drive. The reporting person claimed to have seen the children burying the alleged drugs for later pickup, but never actually saw the items in question. Officers advised the man that without any evidence the kids would not be charged or confronted.

A group of around 30 or 40 juveniles were reported for gathering at a campsite late at night near Strawberry Lake for a party several nights in a row.

A bartender reported being attacked by a cook working at the same restaurant on Wisconsin Avenue. The bartender told Whitefish Police he had no idea why the cook attacked him, stating he “literally went crazy.”

A golden retriever was found on Wisconsin Avenue and taken to the county shelter.
