Bystanders put out truck fire

A truck reportedly caught fire at Woodland Park, inspiring bystanders to take action while waiting for a response from local fire departments, according to Kalispell Police. A group of kids was allegedly seen standing near the truck, watching as another person took a fire extinguisher to the blaze in the truck bed. One bystander managed to extinguish the flames prior to firefighters’ arrival.

An out-of-control brush fire allegedly jumped to a tree in a resident’s yard. The flames were allegedly seen climbing the tree, which stood next to the house. The fire reportedly died down enough for the homeowners to manage it without assistance from law enforcement.

Three men allegedly “jumped” a fourth man, beating him and knocking him unconscious in order to take $12 worth of cash from his wallet. The alleged victim said the attack occurred near a store on West Idaho Street.

Someone reported seeing “gang related” graffiti on the north gate of a school.

According to the Flathead County Sheriff’s Office, Two Bear Air was requested to aid in the Lake County Sheriff’s Office’s search for three missing hikers in the Mission Dam trailhead area.

A resident of Mountain Drive reported a former employee for coming into her yard and stealing items, including the nozzle from her water hose.

Someone reportedly found lost a bag belonging to a firefighter from Marion. The bag was returned.

Someone reported being bitten by a rogue Chihuahua on Danhoe Lane. The alleged victim said the bite broke the skin but refused medical attention.

Residents of Managhan Lane reported being tormented by a howling hound belonging to one of their neighbors. Officers responded to the scene and noted they could hear the dog howling from a long way away, but they were unable to locate the owner.

A group of kids were reported for allegedly sitting in the middle of Colorado Avenue and refusing to move for oncoming cars, according to a Whitefish Police report.

Three men were reported for pushing and yelling at employees of a store on Baker Avenue. The men allegedly had a scent of alcohol on their breath, and employees reportedly had to block the business entrance in order to prevent them from re-entering.

A man reported his vehicle stolen while parked on East Third Street.
