Judith E. Morran-Hatten, 78

Judith E. Morran-Hatten died on July 21, 2017, due to complications of dementia.

Judy was born on June 17, 1939, to Jim and Thelma Tyler in Malta and raised on the family farm.

Judy graduated from Malta High School in 1957. She married Robert “Bob” V. Morran on June 1, 1957. From this union two sons were born, Robert L. “Kip” and James D. “Dan.”

Judy and Bob moved around a lot due to Bob’s work. They eventually settled in Kalispell in 1978. Judy worked for many years at Glacier Bank, until the time of Bob’s death in January 1992.

Judy married Warren “Bud” Hatten on May 27, 2001. They spent many happy years together.

Judy belonged to and was active in the Elks Lodge and Lions Club for many years. She enjoyed the monthly birthday dinners and playing pinochle. Judy loved and enjoyed all of her grandchildren.

Judy is survived by her children, Kip (Judy) of Great Falls, and Dan (Cheryl) of Kalispell; and grandchildren Dustin of Chandler, Arizona, and Jayme (Hayley) of Missoula.

Judy was preceded in death by her parents, her brother James, and her husbands, Bob and Bud.

There will be a graveside service at 3 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 5, at C.E. Conrad Memorial Cemetery, with a reception to follow at the Evergreen Fire Hall.
